Goings-on... (Part I)

I am SO grateful for the past 2-3 weeks because I made so many fun memories with family and our church family. I am also extremely grateful that life is slowing down a tiny bit... I feel like I am able to catch my breath now!!

The craziness started with a dream-come-true for my sister, Rox, and me... we were able to have a booth at the Hernando A'Fair! I can't tell you how exciting it was to be able to work with Rox to share with friends, family, and complete strangers something that we LOVE to do! We decided early on that we were only going to make and sell things we absolutely loved to make... and we were so pleased with the results! It was so much fun, and we can't wait to do it again! (By the way, my headbands, clips, and necklaces will be available in our shop next week! Sorry for the delay! )
A few of Rox's cute signs
Our display. We had so much fun putting it together! (Thanks to Aly and Ash P. for your insight!)

Setting up....sort of.
Rox hard at work.

The Tuesday after our craft fair The Routh's headed down to Jackson to get ready for Haley (Kyle's sister) and Chris' wedding! We got to welcome a lot of the Canadian family into the Southern culture with a TON of fried food! We had an amazing time with all of the family, and we were SO happy to get to be a part of Haley and Chris' special day!!
Parker's Bous Nanna (Great Grandma)!
After eating a bunch of fried catfish, Parker's fingers must have been a little too greasy... one of the geese bit him!
Parker and one of his Canadian cousins, Colin!
Haley with some of her bridesmaids at the Bridesmaids luncheon
Donna, Cindy, and Liz
Janice, Nanna, and Donna
Colin, Lumi, Park-man, and Inka (The girls are Kyle's first cousins and the CUTEST girls ever!)
My guy being his crazy self.
Haley on her wedding day! She was so sweet to cuddle with Parker!
The GORGEOUS bride! She's definitely one of the most laid-back brides I've ever seen!
The sweet, sweet couple... I can't say enough great things about them! So glad your a part of of the family, Chris!
Best buds. I'm so glad we got to hang out with the Crosby's! We miss them!
Kyle thought it would be "sweet" if we took a picture of him feeding me a chocolate-covered strawberry. I just thought it was weird.
Derrick and his youngest Oona. Another beautiful girl!
Father and Mother of the bride!
This is the only family pic I got the night of the wedding... at this point Parker had chocolate cake ALL over himself! He DEFINITELY enjoyed his time playing "Peet-a-boo" with Liz and the Longland's!
Saying goodbye to the bride and groom!
Grandmothers of the Bride after a long day.
The beautiful flower girls showing off their flowers.
The whole Canadian clan enjoyed a few days at the Routh family lake house after the wedding! We all had a GREAT time!
My fisherman.
Lumi with her Aunt Janice
This is right before Parker was kicked out... he doesn't quite understand being quiet during a movie... or for anything else!
Liz and Eric
ALLIGATORS! Kyle's parents have a friend in Louisiana (where their lake house is) who raises alligators. He graciously invited us to come out and watch him feed them... I haven't been that freaked out in a long time!!! He told us not to put the children down in case the alligators got too close! Wow. I'm glad I went, but I'm not sure if I would do it again!
Lucas kept Parker safe for me!

They were HUNGRY.
Kyle's uncle Rick. Parker was so sad to see him go!!
Nanna keeping Parker company on the boat.
Me and my little guy
Sweet boy.
Kyle's sweet Nanna!
Parker and his Doc singing "Row, row, row your boat"!

Stay tuned for pictures of our youth mission trip to Cherokee, N.C.!

  1. So crazy small world but my husband was Chris' RA at State....I was looking at your pictures and was thinking I know that guy that's Chris Clark! Crazy!!
And I don't know how you watched the alligators. They terrify me.

  2. How random! Chris is such a great guy! Yeah, I can't tell you how many times I turned around and ran back to the truck... I finally decided I would rather be hiding behind a group of people than be surrounded by alligators alone!
